What GREETIN aims to achieve
GREETIN is working to bridge the gap between technical feasibility and real-world implementation of renewable district heating solutions. The project focuses on:
- Developing 10 endorsed and investment-ready heating transition plans.
- Integrating renewable energy and waste heat into district heating systems.
- Mobilising at least €150 million in sustainable energy investments.
- Supporting local and regional authorities in energy planning.
- Building long-term capacity among district heating operators and municipalities.
- Delivering significant CO₂ emissions reductions and renewable heat generation.
- Sharing best practices and creating solutions that can be replicated across Europe.
